Our Work:
Often, exploring the dark places inside ourselves, singularly and collectively, can be a frightening and intimidating process. It may be easier to disconnect from those parts of ourselves, and sometimes this is the best way that we know to protect ourselves from our pain. However, this obscures the full truth of who we are, and prevents us from healing the wounds that we sustain in our lives.
There are many contemporary societal and interpersonal problems to address in this current age. Violence, racism extremism, systemic inequality, division. We need to confront the reality of these things in order to move forward into a more loving future. It is my goal to connect different groups and resources doing this work so that we can all make our voices louder than those who would seek to maintain a status quo that is damaging and no longer relevant to our emerging paradigm of interconnectivity and equality for all. |
A mentor of mine one said "if you are doing more than 3 things you are doing nothing."
I took this to heart and decided that, if I am going to do this work that I need to focus on three areas in order to make the most impact. The three areas i decided on, based on a multitude of factors are: organized religion, arts and media, and humanitarian works. I believe that by intertwining progressive aspects of these three areas that we can all create new cultural paradigms that match our current needs as a global society.
